Tale
An agnostic erotic podcaster and a newlywed rabbi fall in love; we discover whether their relationship can survive their wildly different lives and interfering families. Originally titled “Shiksa,” which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I really enjoyed it! Romantic comedies always stick to the same formula, but this one has a lot of strengths – + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and harmonious. They played these characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters were funny, witty, and touching in the best possible way. + In a world that promotes representation, this is the first time I’ve seen a Jewish male love interest. I thought it showed the beautiful and inclusive elements of religion without putting it on a pedestal in any way. The great writing, great cast, and incredible chemistry made me binge-watch this movie, then quickly searched “Will there be a season 2?”. I loved it!
